kARRENI mISSION

2025

In June of 2025 we had the opportunity to partner with, and assist the “Free Burma Rangers” on a Gospel and medical mission in Karenni State Burma. There we assisted in evacuating IDP’s who were attempting to relocate due to quickly advancing Burma Army soldiers. We brought doctors and paramedics and moved towards the front lines where set up multiple casualty collect points (CCP’s). We evacuated wounded from the font lines and brought them back to our medical personnel where we treated approximately 200 casualties in the 5 weeks we were there. We treated dozens of landmine victims, shrapnel and gunshot wounds, as well as victims of airstrikes. We prayed with wounded soldiers and did our best to bring hope and share the love of Christ during the battles.

While these programs were taking place we ran a medical clinic concurrent, assisting hundreds with medical treatment in the jungle, provided general care they would not have access to otherwise.

People welcomed us into their homes and prayed with them. We prayed with soldiers in bunkers hiding from airstrikes trying to save their people. We prayed with wounded soldiers in the back of trucks being rushed to medics clinging to their lives. We shared the Gospel in fields, in the jungle, in Churches, in IDP camps, and even had the opportunity to share Christ with a large crowd inside a Buddhist Monastery.

At the end of the mission, 8 rangers were wounded. On June 30th on of our drivers on the mission “Oo Rey” was killed. He was struck in the face by shrapnel from a bomb dropped by a jet while evacuating a landmine victim. He died instantly after bravely evacuating dozens of casualties under direct enemy fire.

Many people came to know Jesus and an untold number of lives were saved. As a ministry we were blessed to have the opportunity to learn and put our faith in action serving people in this forgotten war. We were able to build lasting relationships and are already planning potential missions in both Burma and South Sudan.

Our largest children’s program of over 2,000 children.

In the 5 weeks in country, we sustained over 200 airstrikes with over 500 120mm mortars dropped from Y-12's and Y-8's, dozens 120mm and 60mm mortars fired conventionally, we were targeted with artillery rounds fired from 105 howitzers, bombs dropped in drone attacks, and both direct and indirect fire from the Burma Army. There were more than 150 airstrikes from fighter jets alone in the last two days, from Yak 130's, Mig 29's, Su 30's and J 17 fighter jets. The jets dropped 500lb bombs, fired rockets, and strafed our teams with machinegun fire from their cannons. Every evacuation conducted was under air attack along with mortar and direct ground fire.

One of the seven children’s programs

In between battles, we traveled to IDP caps where we set up 7 different children’s programs where we shared Jesus with approximately 4,000 children and adults through Jesus skits, Gospel presentations, and the distribution of audio bibles.
